You got to love the social expose YouTube provides as a medium for people to open up themselves to the world. Especially for Hip Hop culture. I lurk on it every couple of days to find who is posting the latest dopeness. There are many people out there doing it nice, but looking for the clean dopeness is what it is all about to keep the people’s attention. If I find some raw goods making it lovely for the culture, I can not resist writing about it. I feel it is my duty to bring it to the international community which is why I will be venturing to the other video sites one day. For now YouTube has the easiest pickings share with you.

bottom1d Dope Wild Style Graff From Our Euro BrothersI want to begin with Spar from the UK who promotes Monster Colors aerosol paints and accessories [great color palette by the way.] I found his video slideshow of murals exhibiting excellent use of color combinations. Lots of poppin’ going on here! What I dig about his style is his old school flavor, but the kid can switch it up time to time. He has a lovely signature style of a trapping his fills with bright highlights, and his characters make themselves at home in the piece. A real veteran at work. He is also involved with the

Spar is a solid example to study. If you are a new writer, understand, it is not always how crazy you can get with letters, but how well you present the piece. Colors are the bait to catch the eye and the letters are the hook. Eye candy is all about presentation then substance because gold ain’t gold if it doesn’t shine! Spar has that recipe down to the letter; hook, line, and sinker!

Be sure to also check Spar’s affiliation as a member of the UrbnFabrik.com Writer Team and other goodness.

Now let’s flow to Eastern Europe.

The next video is from a 19 year old Romanian brother who writes as Pike One. These videos of his pieces are digital bombs done from illustration software that I am not familiar with [holler, if you know.] Pike is precise how he rocks the vector planes as he builds his outlines. He has mastered his flow from what I see. It is very enjoyable watching him lay it down in vector as I have enjoyed seeing past videos of writers rocking Graffiti Studio. Of course the brother is not breaking any laws here but he sure is fantasizing about it. Keep doing what you are doing, Man. Your skills are lovely!

If anyone runs across some dope writers or pieces to share with the world, literally, just email me from my bio below. No shaky cams please. I will be sure to check it out and give you the buzz you rightly deserve!

The name of the game is fame, right?

Special update, courtesy from Pike One, about the software he used for his video pieces. It turns out it is a website similar to the Vandal Squad’s Graffiti Studio. Check out StyleWars.Hu for your graff battling pleasures!
