The most guerrilla minded and spirited people in the Hip Hop culture are definitely Graff writers. There are absolutely no limits to their creativity and ingenuity. Writers can make anything to tag or burn on any surface when and wherever they want with whatever they want. Corporations may find a way to slow down, or water down, other aspects of Hip Hop but not Graff writing. It is impossible. Really.
As we proceed forward in the 21st century, I have been paying a close eye on how writers have embraced the digital age and its technologies. From creating pieces in Adobe Photoshop, Corel Draw, and Flash to 3D animation, laser light shows, and LED throw-ups, Graff artists continue to experiment with technology and wow the world. They are the first voice of Hip Hop, and they will surely be our last.
If you are a practitioner in the other aesthetics of the Hip Hop culture please be wholeheartedly inspired by the spirit of what drives a Graff writer or any type of street artist. They are always hungry and never full. They are always innovative yet never satisfied. They are always crafting new techniques until it flows easy like breathing fresh air. And they never stop out doing their last piece. Ever.
For those B-Boys, DJs, and MCs who know what I am talking about, you are on your way to greatness if you are not already there. It is creative fanaticism. It is ingenuity. And Graff writers have this in mass numbers. Welcome to their digital age, and enjoy these brilliant links and resources for your arsenal and inspiration!
There might not be that much wild style going on to my liking, but it is still ill communication none the less for your inspiration and aspirations. I will leave the wild styling up to you!
