challengemasters Kung Fu Saturdays: Challenge of the MastersWe have another Gordon Liu and Lau Kar Leung classic coming at you again today in Challenge of the Masters! Shaw Brothers Studios always delivered excellent kung fu movies like no other throughout the 1970s and 1980s. Having films created by Lau Kar Leung provided a more realistic combat approach in his directing, and of course having Gordon Liu in the spotlight a movie can never go wrong!

Challenge of the Masters is about the legendary Wong Fei Hung as a young pupil who will eventually take on rivals from another school. This movie is mostly based on the discipline of kung fu more than just the action. The film’s focus is definitely about technique than gimmicks, and of course who does not want to watch a flick based on the Chinese folk hero Wong Fei Hung!

Enjoy!

Challenge of the Masters
This video will play in 10 consecutive parts.
