Q Ball
Q Ball is a South Florida inner city native who has embraced Hip Hop culture ever since He first heard "Rapper's Delight" in 1979. His journey to live the culture was enhanced during the massive relocation boom of New Yorkers throughout the 80s which gave South Florida the nickname, "The 6th Borough." His enthusiasm lead him into the skills of Lyricism, Graff Writing, and Track Producing and now writes for Old School Scholar.
This week we return with another Shaw Brothers film starring the Venom Mob in Invincible Shaolin (aka Unbeatable Dragon.) This Chang Cheh kung fu classic is about the Qing Dynasty and their beef with the Shaolin Monasteries. Although this conflict is a reoccurring theme in many old school kung fu films, Invincible Shaolin never fails to why many enthusiasts love this rivalry. And without a doubt, the Venom Mob continues to delivery as one of the greatest collaborations in Hong Kong cinema.
There is no need to talk about the plot in this one. All you need to know is the equation to this action packed joint; Shaw Brothers + Chang Cheh + The Venom Mob = Old School Kung Fu Classic!
