Kung Fu Saturdays: Two Champions of Shaolin

14304 Kung Fu Saturdays: Two Champions of ShaolinKung Fu Saturdays at Old School Scholar never fails to please the people, and this week I have to deliver another Venom Mob flick! As you can tell I personally love the Venom Mob editions. The chemistry these guys have with each other always deliver on a hot weekend afternoon television set. In due time I will begin to promote other popular films, like 5 Fingers of Death, but for now I will push these guys and my other favorite, Gordon Liu!

There have been several Shaw Brothers films based on Shaolin vs Wu Tang storylines in the 1970s and 80s. The movie plots will oftentimes consist of secret missions, deception, rebellion, and oppression between freedom fighters and a corrupt government. These feudal themed films are distinctly established during the Qing Dynasty of China (which ruled from 1644 to 1912) before it dissolved in the early 20th century. There is always intrigue in these clan rival films due to their white hat / black hat nature with good old fashioned butt-kicking. Another Venom Mob classic of course.

Enjoy!

Two Champions of Shaolin
