Da Emazing One

Da Emazing One is without a doubt an Old School Scholar. Ever since the year of 1979, when He first heard "Let's Dance To The Drummer's Beat", Emazing was not only hooked, He was infused. His new passion launched Him into the skills of Lyricism, B-Boying, and Graff Writing. Hip Hop gave Him a reason to have a voice, and He now writes for Old School Scholar which gives you the true idea of the type of voice He has.

The Bloodsucking Corporate Machine has made Hip Hop music boring for DJs- Image courtesy of http://www.brusselssucks.be/That damn Bloodsucking Corporate Machine! Here I am hired to DJ at one of the biggest jams of my life, and it doesn’t feel right. I mean something is way off! I am playing all of the popular songs, but it smells too good in here! For some reason this crowd likes dancing to this garbage! I cannot stand hearing it myself, however you gotta play what’s hot.

But it just smells too good in here!

I use to love cuttin’ and mixin’ the old school sounds, and now the BCM (Bloodsucking Corporate Machine) has got me so bored outta my mind playing this sweet smellin’ crap! I do know that they know in music videos sex sells, but when it comes to audio, I don’t think they know that funk sells! I am thinking they don’t because I keep seeing them pumping out this crap for us DJs to play. I do not get it!

Yet all I know is that it smells too good in here!

Never in my lifetime did I think I would see the sound of Hip Hop smelling so good. Nowadays, the Hip Hop sound has been soulless, empty, monotonous, weak, bland, limp and without spirit. I wish I could get all of my fellow DJs and organize a boycott against the BCM. Hell, someone needs to be held accountable for the major lack of funk in the Hip Hop sound!

Damn! It smells way too good in here!

Audience in RedWhen did the funk pass away? Not a soul told me the date of its funeral. Speaking of funerals… That’s what this party feels like. A damn funeral!

You wanna know what the problem is? I will tell you what the problem is. The problem is that it smells too good in here!

It seems to me that music producers the BCM have in their back pockets do not know the meaning of the word FUNK! All they seem to know is junk! If the BCM keeps it up, I’m gonna be forced to retire and find something else to do.

Wait a minute! You know what? That wouldn’t be such a bad idea after all!

If I am forced to retire, then what I could do is become a Hip Hop producer myself. Yeah! Sure! Then I will be the one accountable for bringing the funk back into the Hip Hop sound! Hell! I’ll set a whole new trend. I will have every DJ following ME for a change! It’ll be cool to be the one to start some sort of a DJ revolution against the BCM!

But right now…

It’s just too bad that it smells too good in here!
