Showbiz In The Studio Laying Down The Bronx Boom Bap!
Q Ball
Q Ball is a South Florida inner city native who has embraced Hip Hop culture ever since He first heard "Rapper's Delight" in 1979. His journey to live the culture was enhanced during the massive relocation boom of New Yorkers throughout the 80s which gave South Florida the nickname, "The 6th Borough." His enthusiasm lead him into the skills of Lyricism, Graff Writing, and Track Producing and now writes for Old School Scholar.
Showbiz, of DITC fame, is in his studio giving demo sessions about laying down tracks with his special flavor and approach. He definitely exudes passion and enthusiasm while he improvises his drops on the AKAI sampler. There are many ways to lay down beats for the streets, and Showbiz is giving us a peek the way he does it BX style!
And yes the beats are dope!
Young heads should take note this style of production began in the early Golden Age of Hip Hop during the mid 1980s and gloriously evolved. Anyone remember the AKAI S900 and the EMU SP1200 ?
Enjoy these two part videos!
