How To Make a Tagger’s Mop

By Q Ball • Jul 22nd, 2008 • Category: The Blackbook

I am not a big advocate of tagging unless you got a mural and skills to back it up. I believe a tag should be a writer’s signature to his works, but that is just my view point. I guess it is because I see too many taggers hating on another man’s piece when it is dope.

TDS Crew of Belfast: Pure Aerosol Excellence

By Q Ball • Jul 21st, 2008 • Category: The Blackbook

A few days ago, I wrote about Graff Crews, and how they function and execute. You got to love the social expose YouTube provides as a medium for people to open up themselves to the world. Especially for Hip Hop culture. I lurk on it every couple of days to find who is posting the latest dopeness in the world of Graff Writing!

As I was checking out the latest current events on our website, I came across an interesting article that was recently posted yesterday by Thug Life Army.com. By now, almost every Hip Hopper out there has heard the recent criticism of the new school kid, Soulja Boy, by the old school veteran, Ice T. Me, myself and I have no words for this matter, however a brother by the name of N.Y. Oil had plenty of great words to say on Hip Hop Music as a whole.

The Memoirs of Grandmaster Flash

By Q Ball • Jun 22nd, 2008 • Category: Feature Articles

There are many books and interviews on Hip Hop but none shine in comparison to works that document history and biography. Especially when it comes from the mouths of Brothers and Sisters like Grandmaster Flash. If you are a DJ or Hip Hop enthusiast you have no excuse not to own a copy of The Adventures of Grandmaster Flash.

Hip Hop’s First Broadcast Network

By Q Ball • Apr 28th, 2008 • Category: Feature Articles

I was reading a press release about the Hip Hop Hall of Fame forming an alliance with the InterVision Network Corporation (IVNET) to provide international multimedia access to all end users. That is nothing special right? Everybody is going global with streaming content’s availability from the PC, Apple TV to cell phones, and the BBC is leading the way with IPTV access.
