A few days ago, I wrote about Graff Crews, and how they function and execute. I also expressed how a solid crew is born after time when members find their roles by their strengths eliminating weaknesses. The Toys Crew of Denmark was a superior example how over time a team of writers build chemistry and simply create dominating murals. Well now, we are going to stop over into Belfast, Northern Ireland and check out The TDS Crew who will take us to The Dark Side of the funk!
What you are about to view is a 7 minute video slideshow posted by Ayeyerma0 called Belfast Graffiti. TDS Crew! This jungle track laden YouTube video is friggin’ lovely! Mural after mural are designs by wild style fanatics boasting strong outlines, spot colors, and monochromatic fills! Their is a fond love for shading, fades and popping accents. The lettering from these large burners crawl over their surfaces like vines of ivy suffocating the cold brick that lies beneath.
You will notice the majority of the murals are piece based and not too heavy on characters. These guys really want to rock your vision with their styles of hieroglyphics. However, when they do add elements, like characters and objects, the pieces dominate your optic nerve endings! Every piece stretches and skews like a DNA helix. Each letter and word reaches out like clingy tentacles for the next nearest letter or object.
No wall space is ever wasted in Belfast. These brothers are consistent when they answered the call of the wild style!
When you are done viewing this video go call your mama, and tell her you have been to The Dark Side and loved it!
