Skill Methodz (USA) - winners UK BBOY CHAMPIONSHIPS 2009The UK B-Boy Championships 2009 came and went with fire, and a world record was smashed and grabbed by a young lady of England, B-Girl Roxy. B-Boy Crews from around the globe converged October 11, 2009 at the 02 Academy Brixton to win one of the greatest battle tournaments ever. Thanks to the wonderful world of You Tube, you have an opportunity to have a front row seat!

As usual, the world of B-Boyizm never disappoints the art form and the crowd. There were several coveted dance competitions nobody was taking lightly including Locking, Popping, Solo B-Boying, and the ultimate World’s Best Crew. Move for move;skill for skill, these artists were flexing their bodily forms like wild style lettering. Pure dope flows, freezes, and power moves bent gravity over its knee like child abuse!

In the end, Skill Methodz, of the Tampa Bay Area, Florida, are the kings of 2009.

The final results of the other battling categories are listed as follows:

  • World Solo B-Boy Champ: Morris (United States)
  • World Poppin’ Title: Dey Dey (France)
